The u16 Grizzlies held their first game of the NWRL season at home against a Preston side never before seen in Congleton. 

After two losses in the WeGotNext league, the Grizzlies looked to bounce back and kickstart their campaign, and they did just this starting out the North West Regional League with a bang racing out to a 26-2 lead in the first quarter. The second quarter was a defensive display to be proud of with the Grizzlies only allowing a further 6 points to restrict Preston to 8 at the half. 

The second half was all Preston, with a flurry of baskets and some great defensive work to throw the Grizzlies. The first hald is what won it for the Grizzlies however, and a last surge from the Grizzlies was enough to earn them their first win of the season, and start the NWRL off well.
