The u16s finally got their WGNL campaign underway with a hard fought win against a talented Northwood Valiants side.

The Grizzlies started well defensively, but failed to get a hold of the game offensively, struggling to get the ball to fall through the net. Northwood tried to impact the game also, but struggled against the Grizzlies defence. A close game throughout, it took mistakes made by Northwood to open up the game, with some costly turnovers allowing the Grizzlies big guys to get down the floor for some easy lay-ups. 

This continued throughout the game, with each team trading baskets until Northwood ran out of steam, and the Grizzlies sealed the deal with some good fast break points in the final 5 minutes. 

The grizzlies now sit at 1 win 2 losses in the WGNL. They next face Reddock Rockets on the 26th November.
