Grizzlies defeat the Bulldogs
The Congleton Grizzlies U14 REDS faced off against the Bromborough Bulldogs in a game marked by ups and downs. The Grizzlies started slowly, showing a bit less confidence than usual but managed to hold a slim 15-11 lead after the first quarter. Coach Tom’s halftime adjustments sparked a turnaround, propelling the Grizzlies to a substantial 37-16 lead at halftime.
The dominance continued into the third quarter, with the Grizzlies outscoring the Bulldogs 60-20. The Bulldogs struggled against the Grizzlies’ strong defensive pressure and effective offense.
The game concluded with a decisive 83-25 victory for the Grizzlies. Coach Tom, satisfied with the team’s performance, acknowledged a brief confidence dip post-Christmas break but sees promise in the displayed prowess. Looking ahead, he emphasized the need to sustain momentum for the rest of the season.
